Project and Development Manager
Full time, Band 8a equivalent £40 - £45,000 per annum
Fixed term until September 2016
The post holder will provide professional project management and service implementation to support the development of CBC’s business and delivery of commissioned services. The post will support the Chief Executive and Directors to lead, plan, execute, and finalise projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes working on identification of business opportunities, support during the procumement and bidding phases and ability to mobilise services within timescale and budget. This will include coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants and working with CBC’s business partners and commissioners in order to deliver projects according to plan. The role holder will assist in defining business objectives and delivering the company’s business plan.
Areas of responsibility will include Out of Hours, Urgent Care, Walk-in-Centres and Visiting Service and development of new business.
The successful person will have:
· Educated to degree level or equivalent, with experience in project management or a related field
· Significant Management experience in an NHS healthcare setting working across organisational boundaries with proven track record of management and business development
· Experience of contract negotiation and procurement processes
· Management experience in managing health services and staff
· Budget Management and understanding of financial controls
· Demonstrable experience of Business Change and Benefits management
· Excellent, communication, interpersonal, organisational and presentation skills
· Able to promote and facilitate change
· Ability to generate and implement ideas
· Able to work with limited or no supervision
· Self-motivated and able to motivate others
· Ability to work under pressure
· Well organised, manage people effectively and lead by example

Administrator / Analyst
Part time 18.5 hours per week / days and hours flexible to meet the demands of the business
Band 4 £18,838 - £22,016 pro rata
We are looking for an enthusiastic person to provide administrative services for our Medicines Optimisation Team
The post holder will be the main point of contact for the Medicines Optimisation team regarding day-to-day administration, workflow and practice placement. This will include queries relating to annual leave, sick leave and general rota enquiries. The role will provide administrative support to the lead pharmacist and co-ordinate the work of the Medicines Optimisation team. The post holder will have regular contact with the MO team and Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland general practices, managers and directors of CBC and will provide a responsive and effective service.
The successful applicant will be:
Educated to A level standard and with Maths and English GCSE or equivalent; hold an ECDL qualification or be able to demonstrate IT skills to standard level.
Have strong levels of IT proficiency and experience in using the Microsoft suite of programmes, including e-mail, word, excel and powerpoint; experience of working within a busy office environment and of inputting and analysing data and using it to produce and present information in graphical format. Experience of an admin / data analysis role within an office / NHS environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, will be required along with the ability to work as part of a team, with limited supervision and use initiative regarding tasks to see through to completion and proven ability to handle a busy and varied work load.
Some knowledge of medicines optimisation terminology, ePACT and RAIDR systems would be helpful but is not essential as full training will be given.
